Professional, friendly, warm, kind, calm, supportive, understanding, informative, outstanding service
If you HATE going to the dentist as much as I do (thanks to sensory sensitivity, pain sensitivity, and past trauma as a child from knocking my front teeth out), then this dentist practice is definitely for you!
What I needed to have done:
I had to have an emergency crown replacement due to my old one finally cracking! My current dentist couldn't get it sorted out due to having a 2-3 week turnaround time for getting a new crown made, but I needed it to be done in less than 2 weeks as I am traveling abroad and needed to get it done before doing the trip. A friend told me about Dental House and recommended them to me, as she knew they were brilliant with crown creation and fitting.
Overall experience & how I was treated:
Wendy was so warm, welcoming, supportive, knowledgeable, and kind, yet also fast, efficient, and proactive at finding the next available gap to fit me in with one of their brilliant dentists the next day. I walked in and felt at ease despite usually feeling dread. The atmosphere is calm and caring, and the facilities are modern, comfortable, and fitted with top class dentistry equipment. I had mentioned that I have sensory sensitivity and that visiting a dentist can be a bit overwhelming and anxiety inducing, but all the staff were so welcoming, kind, and supportive, which made the experience so much more calm, and way less stressful. At every step of the process I felt like my needs and concerns were considered and taken seriously, and I always felt well informed about what to expect and how long each section of the process was likely to take so that there were no sudden surprises - which is really helpful for minimising anxiety.
The problem solved brilliantly:
The cracked crown was removed, and a temporary crown was created and fitted at the same time. Chris, one of the onsite dental technicians popped in to do some colour grading during my appointment, and was absolutely phenomenal at getting things turned around fast (in 1 week!), and ensuring that my colour match was as perfect as he could get it. Front teeth crowns are particularly difficult to colour match if both are not being replaced at the same time, but he took the time, effort, and care to make sure it was the best fit and colour. The quality of the workmanship, and the efficient turnaround time to get it created and finalised before I need to travel was massively appreciated. The attention to detail, and the convenience and value of having an on site technician cannot be overstated. You simply don’t get that kind of treatment with most other dentist practices - certainly not this level of perfection or speed!
Next steps:
After my amazing experience, and seeing the various awards Dentist House have won or made it into the finals for, I made the decision to move from my current dentist across to Dental House even though Dental House is about 25 minutes from where I live - I would rather travel and get the quality of service and care, than get a local dentist that simply can’t compete.
I’m a very happy customer 🙂
My crown looks amazing! The experience was great (as good as it can possibly be for what will never be a pleasant experience for someone like me with sensory sensitivity!). And the thing I’m super chuffed about, is that I didn’t have to live with a loose crown for over a month, with the risk of my tooth cracking off completely while abroad. I can relax and enjoy my mom’s 85th birthday with all my siblings together for the first time in 27 years, and know that I don’t have to be careful about what I eat to avoid cracking the old crown further, and even better, I will enjoy smiling confidently for all the family photos 🙂 So the team at Dental House lived up to their tagline: “Creating beautiful smiles for life”. Thank-you to all of you for making my experience such a positive one.
